This Opportunity:

  • Help coordinate all safety services as directed, described below and according to OSHA requirements and company policy.
  • Conduct job site safety inspections as assigned and complete all associate paperwork.
  • Ensure all field staff are working in compliance with Company Policies and OSHA standards.
  • Perform all accident investigations within 24 hours, including preparation of written report per the Injury Reporting procedure when requested by Safety Manager.
  • Review all jobs prior to commencement for safety considerations and in collaboration with the Safety Manager.
  • Make all safety corrections immediately upon discovery, even if it requires the cessation of work, or removal of personnel from the workplace.

Quality Assurance Job Specific Duties:

  • Perform on-site Quality Control/Quality Assurance Inspections and report and record the results per schedule and as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Issuance of the Non-Compliance Reports and overseeing and recording the proper Non-Compliance Follow-up Report results.
  • Report daily operations status to management and update, as necessary.
  • Review plans, specifications, and manufacturer’s instructions for proper material installation during pre-construction meetings and work in progress.
  • Attending the Pre-job conference with Foreman & Estimator/Project Manager, and Project Coordinator and record-keeping of this process for company and affiliates per schedule and as assigned by Supervisor.

Training Specific Duties:

  • Periodic review of the published Company Training Calendar.
  • Work in collaboration with the training team to ensure employees are properly trained for the work being performed.
  • Quality Control assistance and oversight during Company Training Programs. This may include, but not limited to presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on/mockup review.

Administrative Duties:

  • Report and document any safety or quality violations to company management.
  • Ensure compliance and documentation of the company Quality Control Program.
  • Review and Assist with Quality Control project submittals, such as site-specific reports or support training documentation.

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum of 1 year of construction/safety experience
  • AS/BS or University degree in construction, safety or related discipline
  • Mid to High proficiency in MS office
  • OSHA certifications (preferred)

  • Weekly coordination/scheduling with project superintendents and/or other personnel
  • Generate purchase orders (POs) for all project materials and supplies and control of project material and labor budgets
  • Coordination of pre-construction conferences with Foreman and Project Manager
  • Ensure construction is performed in accordance with plans and specifications and inspection of installations
  • Interaction with customers, vendors and staff

Project Related Administrative Duties:

  • Notify management and project manager when jobs are out of budget
  • Approval of weekly work reports and other project expenses
  • Responsibility for project profit and loss and cost control through purchasing functions
  • Perform other related duties as required to ensure a safe workplace, quality construction and timely completion of each project
  • Enforce company Safety and Quality Control procedures
  • Updating of all logs related to operations including safety and project management logs.
